Styled Text to MIF Converter Release Notes (v1.1) How to Use. Drag and drop any SimpleText file onto the Converter. The converter launches and creates a new output file. Features. Name of Output File: The output file's name is the same as the input file's name, plus ".mif". Or, if the input's file name is longer than 27 characters, the output's name is the first 27 characters of the input's name, plus ".mif". Limitations. Output Files: Currently the output file always goes to the folder containing the application. This will be re-thought if the software sells sufficiently well. Colors: Not all colors are available; the Converter only declares about ten. So, on conversion, Orange becomes Red, Violet becomes Blue, Pink becomes Magenta, Browns become Black. Any sufficiently light color (with all RGB components brighter than 50%) becomes White. This is serious as it makes light-colored text disappear, White on a White background. I should correct this to maybe be gray instead. Upgrade History xx/xx/01 v1.0 01/31/02 v1.1 Added code to set the Macintosh creator and file-type codes (on the output file), so that the output file's icon correctly appears as a FrameMaker file, and double-clicking the file opens it in FrameMaker.
